AC Milan re-affirm why they are a European giant

AC Milan blow open Group F after seeing out a 2-1 victory over PSG tonight.

Oliver Giroud became the oldest Frenchman to score in the Champions League in the 50th minute when he headed Milan into the lead from a Theo Hernández cross and ultimately won them the game.

PSG initially took the lead through a Skriniar strike in the 9th minute, but Leão only took three minutes to level the game.

AC Milan where considerably more effective with the ball, registering 16 shots, with half of those being on target with only 31% of possession.

PSG was somewhat wasteful, equalling AC Milans 16 shots, but only six on target. It took 69% possession for PSG to achieve this.

This could go down as a historic night for the Italian side as the team looks to rejuvenate their season, and have done that against one of the favourites to win the Champions League this season.

Group F remains by far the most interesting group, with three points separating first and fourth with only two games remaining. Goal difference does not help any team, as AC Milan currently has the lowest with minus two, and PSG and Dortmund currently share the highest, with one.
